$150 Household and Small Business Electricity Credit announced (2025)

On the 23 March 2025, the Commonwealth Government announced a one-off credit of $150 - to reduce electricity bills for eligible residential and small business customers. This is part of the 2025 - 2026 Federal Budget commitments to ease cost-of-living pressures.

WA residential battery rebate and no-interest loan scheme announced

From 1 July 2025, eligible Horizon Power customers will be able to apply for the WA Government residential battery rebate of up to $7,500 and no-interest loan scheme of up to $10,000.

Esperance Community Successfully Transitions from Reticulated Gas: A Milestone in the Journey to cleaner energy

On 31 March 2023, the private gas network owner and operator for Esperance ceased supplying reticulated gas to the Esperance community.

Severe weather is causing major flooding and outages throughout the Kimberley region. Where it is safe to do so, our crews are working to restore power as quickly as we can. That's why we're also sending more generators to the region. This will ensure adequate fuel supply and generation capacity to help power affected communities.

Esperance powered by nearly 50% renewable energy

Horizon Power and Pacific Energy were joined by the Premier, Hon Mark McGowan and Minister for Energy, Hon Bill Johnston to formally open the Shark Lake Renewables Hub in Esperance and mark the official completion of the Esperance Power Project.
